“Spring: a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.” – unknown

I know spring has sprung because I’m eating Easter chocolates – even if they are from last year.

This week as I froze my feet taking pre-dawn pictures, I wondered why I take this same picture, more or less, over and over again. I realized that the answer was that it’s because it gives me a beautiful start to my day in which I have a better sense of perspective – that the world is so big and my worries are small. As Lao Tzu says “If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place.” He just left out that’s it’s an ongoing practice.
So I took the kids up to see the sunrise and they were moderately interested but more impressed by leaving handprints in the frost. 🙂

Activities of the week: nothing but net and shooting stars.

Around the neighborhood!
“Shooting stars”….what a fun pic AND caption! And the cowboy boot/bird feeder? Adorable! Thanks, Wynne! 😘

We wished upon every star we shot… 🙂 Isn’t that cowboy boot feeder cool? I hope it’s a very inventive piece of up-cycling! Happy weekend, Vicki! ❤ ❤ ❤

Your daughter looks like a future NBA star! Any financial worries can be set aside, but she might want to find some bubble wrap for her pretty head.

Excellent point (pun intended) Dr. Stein! The nets are just going to get tougher…

The cowboy boot bird feeder is wonderful. As is the idea of correcting your mind so your life will fall into place. Pity you can’t do that once and be done with it.

I lament not being able to be one and done with that “correcting the mind” business all the time. 🙂 Happy weekend, Ally!

I love that the neighbourhood skeleton just gets into the mood for every occasion. The St Patrick’s dress up is the best one yet! 🍀

I think that skeleton could have a blog of his very own! Yep, he’s one active dude even though his feet are bolted to the ground. 🙂

Haha. You should start one for him!

Lovely Wynne. I liked so much, sunrise, frosty handprints … and the ducks. I like ducks … not sure why, but they always make me happy

I love that you like ducks, Brenda. They are sweet to watch aren’t they – they do all that furious paddling out of sight. 🙂 Hope you are having a lovely weekend! ❤

That St. Patty Day themed skeleton caught my eye. Definitely a Holiday decoration that can multi-task!

The handprints on the frost covered rock is my favorite! On my last morning, my aunt and I had to scrape the windshield to get to SeaTac.

Yes – those little handprints are sweet and you’re right – these mornings have been cold. Glad you are home safely (and warmly, I trust!).

I am home safely but it’s not too warm yet. 50s and up to 60.
